Nokia To Launch Contactless Mobile Payment

Nokia has confirmed, that it will Launch contactless mobile payment in early 2011. Contactless Mobile Payment is already built in Nokia’s new Smartphone C7, so Nokia would just active this feature. Theres is a RFID chip in the phone and through a Software upgrade, Nokia can activate this feature at any time.

Paying with the the Nokia C7 would be easier than paying with a credit card. Customers can pay by just swiping their phone across an electronic reader.

Contactless payment is an other strategic step for Nokia to becomes as service provider. Apple and Google are only talking about mobile payments and noone expects any solution from Apple and Google in the near future.

Nokia C7 is has a full-touch glass display with 8 MP camera and HD video capability.
