According to Distimo Nokia’s free applications surged 10- fold in to a total of 25,000 apps. Nokia has always stressed the importance of apps for retaining share within the fast growing smartphone market. Nokia has organized several developer contents last year. Nokia has also streamlined its developing tools with new version of QT. Qt is a cross-platform application and UI framework. Using Qt, developers can write web-enabled applications for mobile devices and for desktops. QT is available for almost all platforms like, Windows, Mac OS X, Linux, Symbian and MeeGo.
