Montroller turns Nokia N8 into a 3D controller device

Montroller is one of the winners of Garage48 Helsinki, which took place last weekend. Garage48 is boot-camp style community event to build ideas into working services in just 48 hours. There were 31 different ideas pitched on Friday night and 16 of those ideas were able to form a working team. One of these teams was Montroller an they were the winner of PUBLIC VOTE and the winner of Nokia special prize.

Montroller, a team of six guys, want to turn your mobile device into a 3D controller (like wii) of various devices. At Garage48 the guys showed how to control and drive a Lego Mindstorm robot with a Nokia N8 . The needed just 6 hours to build this despite the fact, that they didn’t have much experience with Nokia’s QT before. Montroller is also available for other platforms like MeeGo, Android and iOS.
