HTC or LG: where does the Windows 7 Phone come first?

After Microsoft’s release of the new operating system Windows Phone 7 it seemed that the long-time Microsoft supporter HTC wants to sell the first smartphone with the new Windows Phone 7.

But now there could be a potential rival for HTC, because at the Engadget Show in New York, one of Microsoft’s editors showed a prototype of a Windows Phone 7 smartphone, which was not a HTC phone as expected but a smartphone of LG.

This prototype has got a touchscreen display and a telescopic QWERTY keyboard for good haptics. In addition the LG Windows Phone 7 mobile phone uses a Qualcomm processing unit which still is one of the fastest units at all. Furthermore the LG Windows phone has a camera with 5 megapixel that is, for example, way better than the camera of Apple’s iPhone 3G S.

Of course the Windows Phone 7 OS has many of the Windows services on board, for example the integrated bing search, Windows Live Mail or the Windows Live Messenger. This reminds many people of the behaviour of Google and Apple which put many services of themselves in the shell of their operating systems.

All in all the new Windows Phone 7 operating system developed very well so that Microsoft is able to stark a strike on the biggest rivals Apple and Google with their successful OS’.
