HTC EVO Shift 4G Review Part 1

HTC EVO Shift 4G Review Part 1 by Aaron Aaron reviews the HTC EVO Shift 4G, Sprint's second 4G device in the "EVO" brand and an all-around great Android phone. It offers an 800 MHz next-generation Snapdragon processor, 3.6-inch display, physical QWERTY keyboard, Android 2.2 (Froyo!), and HTC's award-winning Sense UI. It's a really impressive device and is a nice alternative for those that don't need the forward-facing camera and large profile that the EVO 4G has. The Shift is nice as it's just as fast - faster, according to speed tests - but offers a smaller form factor and better battery life as a result. But at $149.99, will it sell when consumers can pick up an EVO 4G for $50 more? ‪Facebook: www.facebook.com ‬ Twitter: www.twitter.com Forums: forums.phonedog.com Win Free Phones: sweeps.phonedog.com

HTC EVO Shift 4G vs. T-Mobile G2 Dogfight Part 1

HTC EVO Shift 4G vs. T-Mobile G2 Dogfight Part 1 by Aaron It's dogfight time! Aaron pits the Sprint HTC EVO Shift 4G against the T-Mobile G2. Both offer 800 MHz next-generation Snapdragon processors, both have 5-megapixel cameras, both have awesome QWERTY keyboards, and both are available now. The EVO Shift is $149.99 and the T-Mobile G2 is $199.99. Not to spoil it, but the speed tests are exceptionally close, and the network speed tests are very surprising. Who will win? HTC EVO Shift 4G Unboxing

HTC EVO Shift 4G Unboxing by Aaron Aaron does a quick unboxing review of the HTC EVO Shift 4G, the newest device in Sprint's EVO line and another QWERTY Android option. It offers an 800 MHz next-generation Snapdragon processor, 3.6-inch display, physical QWERTY keyboard, 5-megapixel camera, and Android 2.2. It's a nice little device for those that don't like the HTC EVO 4G, but at a $149.99 price point, it may make more sense to pay more for one of the high-end devices. ‪Facebook: www.facebook.com ‬ Twitter: www.twitter.com Forums: forums.phonedog.com Win Free Phones: sweeps.phonedog.com

HTC EVO Shift 4G Hardware Tour

Typing on the device is cumbersome because the keys are so flush. The screen is a 3.6 inch WVGA glass capacitive mulitouch LCD. Powering everything is an 800MHz Qualcomm MSM7630 along with 512MB of RAM and 2GB of ROM. The EVO Shift comes with a 2GB microSD card that is expandable to 32GB. The radios included are CDMA 800 and 1900 bands, Wi-Fi b/g/n, FM receiver, aGPS, and Bluetooth 2.1. The sensors incorporated are an accelerometer, digital compass, proximity, and light sensor. The EVO Shift has a 3.5mm headphone jack and uses a microUSB 2.0 port for both charging and syncing. The camera is a 5MP with an LED flash which is capable of recording 720p video.
